FAQs

Do you clean yards all year round?

Yes, we do! Dogs need bathroom breaks year-round, so our company continues to meet the needs of you and your pets throughout the winter. While some customers choose to pause their service during the winter months, please note that an additional service charge will apply for the first spring clean-up.

What happen if you missed some piles?

We stand behind our work 100% and take great pride in what we do. However, please understand that we are human. If you happen to notice any missed areas, simply give us a call, and we will re-clean your yard within 48 hours.

How do you manage yard clean-up during winter weather?

Winters in Iowa are long, cold, and often snowy, which can impact service. When it snows, the waste becomes covered, making it difficult to see and pick up. This may lead to delays in service, particularly if snow or ice accumulation is significant. We will clean up what we can see once the snow or ice begins to melt. However, we will not attempt to "chip" or search for waste buried in the snow, as this can break the waste into pieces and potentially transfer it onto your pets' feet, creating an unsanitary situation. As the snow/ice melts, we will continue cleaning up any remaining waste.

I do not mow weekly or rake the leaves, is this a problem?

Yes and no. We will continue to clean your yard to the best of our ability, but please understand that we cannot honor the 100% guarantee during certain conditions, such as long grass or fallen leaves, which may cover the waste.

What happens in extremely cold temperatures?

Our teams work outside in all weather conditions, but when temperatures or wind chills reach dangerously low levels, we will delay service for the safety and well-being of our staff. Service may also be delayed by a week in such conditions, and route days may be adjusted based on weather. Please understand that due to Iowa's unpredictable winter weather, we may not always be able to provide exact timing for service.

What do you do with the dog poop? Do you take it with you?

Our belief is that we eliminate all the work for you, which includes taking all "doody" with us, eliminating the need for you to dispose of it.

Do you have insurance coverage for your business?

Yes, our business is fully insured. We have implemented comprehensive coverage to safeguard PawSitive, our employees, and our valued clients from potential risks. This includes a variety of policies specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of our business.

How do you clean your equipment and yard?

We take cleanliness and sanitation very seriously. After each cleaning, we thoroughly sanitize all boots and equipment to prevent the transfer of bacteria or diseases between yards. Our team is committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene to ensure that no germs are carried over to the next client's property.
